The Beacon is our community outreach ministry—a gathering place where creativity, conversation, and the light of Christ meet. Rooted in hospitality and fueled by imagination, The Beacon exists to serve our city through art, storytelling, teaching, and meaningful connection. From publications and podcasts to curated events and creative experiences, we seek to equip artists, writers, and visionaries to use their gifts for God’s glory and the good of others. More than a program, The Beacon brings the hope of the Gospel into our community—equipping people, supporting the Church, and serving where there is need.

Visual Arts

Fall Showcase

Our end-of-semester showcases celebrate student masterpieces in art, music, video, photography, and writing. These events not only highlight creative excellence but also teach students to critique and exhibit their work in a way that glorifies God.

Art in Bloom Showcase

Our Spring Showcase highlighted our musical event and student work on display. It was a wonderful evening of art, music, fellowship and yes—coffee!

Missions

Teachers and students have opportunity to design, write, and lead art lessons that share Gospel truths in local and international missions. Join us in praying—and taking part—as we work to spread these projects to every corner of the world.

Field Trips

From art museums to ice cream socials, our families build community through field trips and off-campus events. Whether sketching historic buildings on Main Street St. Charles or exploring exhibits at local art museums, students deepen their love and appreciation for the arts while forging meaningful connections.

Collaborations

Through community partnerships, our students have the opportunity to collaborate on creative projects that extend beyond the classroom and make a lasting impact. Whether working with local organizations, contributing to public art initiatives, or developing projects that serve others, they learn how their artistic gifts can be used to enrich society and reflect their faith in meaningful ways.
